Working tracks will meet during evening sessions Saturday and Sunday (please plan to attend both sessions of the same track) and will prepare a response to be presented at the plenary session on Monday.
Track 1: Ken Roy will lead a discussion of Daniel Deudney’s “Dark Skies.”
Track 2: What threshold of criteria does an exoplanet need to meet in order to be considered for a human settlement? What if the atmosphere is fine, but the gravity is too high? What if the gravity is right, but we have to live in domes? We’ll discuss tradeoffs.
There is no charge to participate in a working track, but it will require some advance reading. Registering for one of the working tracks lets us know how many people we expect to participate, which helps in room planning.
