Benefits of Being a Patron

Levels of Patronage of IRG and Benefits to Patrons

We have replaced the previous Sponsorship program with our new Patron program. Patrons will support specific IRG symposia. The previous recurring yearly sponsorship categories will now be part of our new Membership program, which will be available shortly. If you or your organization wish to become a patron for the next IRG symposium, please contact treasurer@irg.space. The patron levels are as follows:

Orbital — < $250 or in-kind contribution
Lunar — $250 to $499 or in-kind contribution
Planetary — $500 to $999
Interstellar — $1,000 to $4999
Galactic — $5,000 and up

There are also opportunities for “Special Purpose” patrons. A Special Purpose patron is some person or organization that contributes for a specific purpose like funding a scholarship, covering the cost of a symposium banquet, or some other particular need rather than to cover general costs of a symposium.

IRG and Tax-Deductible Donations

The Tennessee Valley Interstellar Workshop (doing business as the Interstellar Research Group, IRG) is a non-profit scientific, educational corporation in the state of Tennessee. For U.S. tax purposes, IRG is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) educational, non-profit corporation.  All donations to IRG are fully tax deductible (as allowed by your local laws)
