Les Johnson is a physicist, NASA technologist, and author. He was the Principal Investigator for the NASA Near-Earth Asteroid Scout solar sail mission which launched into space aboard Artemis 1 in 2022 and other space technology missions and projects. Les is also the author of A Traveler’s Guide to the Stars (Princeton Univ. Press/2022), a popular science book about how we might one day reach the stars now available in 7 languages.
